Easy Way to Steam Vegetables

I’m sure that you’ve heard all the buzz in the last few years about veggies; steaming preserves much more of their natural vitamins and antioxidants than the alternative of boiling them. If you want them warm, steaming vegetables is definitely the more health-conscious way to go.

Steaming my veggies took a little while to grow on me, but now that I’ve been eating them steamed for a couple of years, I would never go back to boiling them.  I recently purchased a new steamer; I love it so much that I had to share my discovery with all of you!

I just bought this Chef’n Sleekstor Steamer from Cooking.com. Previously, I was using one of those metal contraptions that you put in the bottom of your pan and the different wings of the basket flip out. It was horrible; I spent most of the time trying to keep the basket intact and not falling apart. This steamer has made cooking my veggies so much easier; I will never go back to one of those metal basket steamers after using this one!

It comes in both Avocado and Cherry, so you even have a choice in color. At the price of only $10.95, you can’t afford not to try it; I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s great! Plus, it’s dishwasher safe, stores easily, and is compatible to many different sized pans, since it’s made of flexible silicone. Can’t go wrong with this product.

In addition, Cooking.com offers free shipping on orders $99 and over; just enter coupon code “C98859″ at the time of check-out to get free shipping. Once you buy this, make sure you leave comments. I think that you’ll be as satisfied as I am with this purchase.

Do you steam your veggies?  What kind of steamer do you use and are you happy with it?
